Double Bass Pernambucco classification

I feel the timing of the article was a bit poor. A lot of complaints about Bolsanaro like a day or two before he lost their election so all of the complaints raised may not even be applicable anymore. I don’t know enough about Lula and Brazilian politics to make any educated statement on it, except that many of the fears of the actions and positions of Bolsanaro’s government may be baseless and unfounded when Lula’s new government takes office. Maybe it will be worse, it’s just odd to write all this doom and gloom on the doorstep of possible radical change.

Hopefully without getting political about it (even tho the pernambuco issue is a deeply political issue), that doom and gloom you speak of is an apt description of Bolsonaro’s “reign”.

What I got from that article is that sympathetic, ethical government in tandem with conservation efforts already in place might create a success story here.
