Most people believe that alcohol "warms" you up... thats somewhat of a truth but what alcohol does is it removed the heat from inside your body into the survice so outside of your body feels warm... this is reason you sweat while drinking is because all the heat gets consentrated on outside of your body.

Wether people sweat or not just depends how much of heat resistance they have... ie at what temputure you start to sweat.

This is what i've been tought and to me it makes sense... I would love to hear other theories.

    i'm not allowed to drink (i'm 18)

so i guess i'm not allowed to answer that question.

  6. Sometimes my face will get very red and will feel warm. This usually happens if I drink after not doing so for several weeks, It will usually go away within a short time, even if I continue drinking.

Alcohol is a vaso dilator, which can cause blood vessels to expand and become more prominent. The body responds by increased perspiration to cool the skin.

according to family guy drinking actually constricts the blood vessels making you colder. And we all know family guy is the be all and end all of knowledge, although the new season is lame

kserg, i didnt know you were 'like that'...maybe we should hook up. They dont call me grug for nothing!

I'll let you interpret that any way you want... :eyebrow:

  10. i agree, but only after the first few shots, then a few more and i can't feel anything

  11. I only sweat while drinking hard liqour, and only when it's warm out. And then I sweat like I'm in a sauna.

I must be one of those people who have a low heat tolerance, because I sweat all the time. I can work up a lather in 50 degree weather. And, yes, I also get sweaty when drinking hard liquor. For me, it may be a stress reaction, and I am stressed all the time. I would rather be sweaty than have really bad BO, cadaver breath, uber-smegma, or be a guitar player.

Try the dictionary. Decorum prevents me from going any further. Actually, if you can act all grown-up about it, go here:

Alcohol also has quite a lot of energy, and if I recall correctly the body cannot store the energy by converting it to fats as it can with regular food. Might have something to do with it.

  19. water, water, water!!!! Major Metal is a "larger" dude, not overweight by any means if i can remember from the NY GTG photos BustinJustin sent me... I can relate, and our bodies need water to process the alcohol without us dehydrating, using our fat, and then sweating. alcohol dehydrates and makes you "hot". i drink water and i ride a bike 4-5 times a week. pushups and crunches will help you too..

try this, it really works. build your reps "of ten" gradually.

in your living room, face a direction. run in place for 20 paces (ten per leg) and then do 10 pushups and 10 crunches. turn around and repeat the process. cake, 10 minutes.

do that 2 days in a row, and then stay facing the same way for more reps before you turn around. keep adding. you'll feel better right away.

    peaz.
