Pete wentz squier-This review sold me.

Wait, wait, wait, WAIT. First, Pete Wentz has his own record label, and second there are bands out there that actually fit on it? Who is Hey Monday? I've never heard them on the radio, MTV, or seen any ads for them or their music. Will they still be around in a few years?

The answer to the last question, btw, is "no." They apparently are "on hiatus" as of Dec. 2011 after only a few years of being together. Sure, they may have been more commercially successfully than I am or will ever be, but I bet I'll be living much more comfortably than them a few years down the road. Gotta love being the flavor of the week, eh?

Also, that "lol ur just hating on them because they're more successful than you" argument is total crap. I'm hating on him because he gave a horrible review and is a bad bassist, I don't care how successful the band is. If Stanley Clarke or Geddy Lee, 2 incredibly talented bassist I have a deep respect for, did a review like this I'd be ripping on them, too.

Respect is earned, that's why people are saying what they are saying. It's brutally apparent he's a cookie-cutter dude with little originality who is trying to make a buck by acting like he's digging the gear they are telling him to schlep. What's wrong Best Buy? Couldn't even afford to get Pete Wentz to market his OWN sig model bass?

I mean come on..."pokey"? Gimme a break :rollno:

looks like a good budget instrument, but pete wentz came on that guy don't even knows how to play , I've watched some of his show on tv, sometimes I heard the bass but he's not even touching the strings just jumping around, just playback or a roadie playing in the Backstage as you dont need a pro to play that songs. I'll be ashamed to own a pete wents bass

Call a spade a spade. Nobody will be getting Hey Monday tattoos or talking about how Jersey turned them onto bass or influenced their playing a year from now (if ever lol).

I doubt they made a fortune and they're unknown outside of their fanbase/genre. They'll just be seen as a commercialized trend, no different than every Disney artist out there. They're nobodies to a majority of listeners and to top it all off they're also tools who will be broke quicker than you can say "I sold out to Best Buy in 2009."

This thread is another example of why I love TB. I just sat down at the computer after spending the last 2 hours photographing and boxing up a bunch of my 4-bangers (including 4 Squiers) in preparation for selling them. I'm more into pencil necked 5-strings these days, but why is it that I feel a sudden urge to run out and buy a Wentz Squier? That young man is a fantastic salesman! :)

I get the impression that the 'hate' isn't based on jealousy. To be jealous of someone's success you have to first know that they are succesful.

(I've never heard of Jersey Moriarty.)
