Phil Jones Double Four - removed battery power capability? Why?

Why did Phil Jones removed the battery power capability on the Double Four new model? Is it because of the integrated power suply instead of the separate one? Thank you.

I can bet because stocking an inventory of batteries is a pain. The platform is constantly changing these days. There's no standard platform and they'd have to buy thousands of them to provide a cost effective package.

A low cost sine inverter using a cordless power tool manufacturer battery platform is quite affordable these days. No need to license these cordless tool manufacturer's platform as they provide the batteries and the inverters from their own line.

And UPS with Lithium-Ion batteries are also lightweight and cheap now.

Use one of these to power your low power amp head.

They don't come with batteries. You simply bought a battery that normally powered a laptop with a 20v output. I'm assuming from the OP's post that they now have an internal power supply instead of the external brick power supply so you can no longer substitute the battery for the old power supply.

Looks like the European spec model is now lacking the dc power input. The US model still has it.
