I apologize if this has been answered somewhere already. I tried the search function, but didn't come up with anything helpful.
I am looking for a reputable instructor in the Philadelphia (or Bethlehem) area for lessons to set me back on the right bath, and to correct any bad habits.
I just picked up the bass again after playing it in highschool jazz band about ten years ago. Now that I am playing/practicing 30 to 90 minutes a day, I am having problems with bowing (both French and German) and consistent intonation. While I grew up playing jazz, I am looking for orchestral technique. If it makes any difference, I feel more comfortable holding a german bow, but am not married to it.
Thank you,
Richard
