Photoshoppers: Pimp my SUB5 fretless!

I'm really liking my SUB, but the black on black needs a little pizzaz! What sort of pickguard would look great? What else would you do?

Aesthetically speaking, I would go for:

Black Pick Guard Screws.
Black control Knobs.
Maple Fret Board.

What's that one pickguard that EBMM uses? I think it's like black ice or something. That would look cool.

the only other color on that bass is white which is the nut and the logo..

White pearl would jazz that baby up real nice and make it elegant looking as well. Like a tuxedo.

I'd do the following:

* try a tort guard that has a color similar to the fretboard
-or-
* try a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] guard
* black control knobs
* black bridge saddles

That baltic amber looks neat. I agree with the sentiment of the white pearl as well. How do you think Black Pearl would look? Hmm should Photoshop them...

I have a black SUB Sterling and I replaced the stock pickguard with a Black Ice one. It's a huge improvement in the looks department, in my opinion.

I'd say it looks great as it is. Have you considered pinstriping? Also, if I owned your bass . . . looking at it as a whole, the first thing I'd do is ELIMINATE the logo on the headstock. It makes it a sore thumb.

But, on a minimalist level . . . perhaps a chrome guard to match your control panel . . .

IMO, Brown Tort or Baltic Amber would blend best with the fingerboard.

get a mirror and cut it to shape and put holes in it. You can scratch it up and write crap on it if you like the dirty look too.

I tend to be more conservative I guess. I like something that makes it look more subtle and not so LOUD. I like the Baltic Amber.
