I've decided to find a solid bass to convert to piccolo and I've rested on a Martin solidbody I found for around 400. Beautiful condition, hope I buy it first.
So far I'm planning on having a new nut cut for it and having it strung with piccolo strings (the basics), but is it possible to have Bigsby make me a vibrato tailpiece? I know Stanley Clarke had it done but I'm not familiar with any other basses with a Bigsby.
Will any other adjustments have to be made to the bass? Will I need to buy a guitar amp or will a bass amp take the high frequencies?
