Yes. Musiclily on amazon has really nice guards for around 13-14 dollars.
I like the way that looks with the anodized brass pickguard but if I was changing it I would go with tortoise. A black Jazz with maple neck and tortoise pickguard is my next purchase (no sure when). BTW there are some high quality but inexpensive pickguards available on Amazon.

A 5 to 6-mm wide flange or strip of conductive tape from the top deck of the body that waterfalls into the shielded cavity can create continuity with shielding on the back of a mounted/screwed-down pickguard by pressure contact.
I like MG nickel super shield paint. When I use that in pickup and control cavities I also put a contact strip of copper shielding tape between the control cavity and the closest pickup cavity--over the top surface of the body-- where the copper tape is both fully covered by the pickguard for maximum contact for continuity and hidden by the guard.
If a P bass pickguard is made by Fender or true to Fender specs the locations of the through holes for the control pots and screw holes for pickup covers and thumb block are the same; not an issue. Several of the chamfered mounting screw hole locations are consistent between 10 and 13-hole P bass guards--if made correct to Fender specs.
Not a fan of aluminum pickguard but on this specific bass, I would leave it there, just too nice and blends very well with the body and the neck. It's a classic look on top of that.
Otherwise, I really like the red tortoise pickguard from Allparts and that would fit perfectly with the body.

Knob spacing shouldn't matter unless your control set is fixed to like a PCB or something.

Yes, it would, but it still has to be connected to the cavity shield. It could be done through the pickup bottom plate (not all PUs have that) or through some other conductive path that connects cavity to pickguard.

I had a custom pickguard made for a black Squier I had. It was a 3 layer black/lime green/black and looked killer. If you don't mind spending a few extra bucks you can have the same thing made with your favorite color in the middle.
Honestly i love she stock look.
If i own this bass, i will give the pickguard a trans yellow/golden poly coat spray to matching maple fretboard color.
