"Burn Rubber," "You Dropped A Bomb On Me," and "Early In The Morning" are similar, but the Gap Band also did more Parliament-style jams (complete with Charlie Wilson doing a George Clinton-like running commentary) and some excellent ballads. There's a lot more to the Gap Band then just their biggest radio hits.Ah the Gap Band, they wrote one song and just changed the lyrics, over and over.

If you judge them by a few songs, you might as well say the same about a lot of bands.
But seriously, You Dropped a Bomb on Me, Burn Rubber on Me, and Early in the Morning do share a lot of the same formula. Which you stated.Oops...my bad!
