Thriller should be the beginning and end of this thread.
Ah the Gap Band, they wrote one song and just changed the lyrics, over and over.
"Burn Rubber," "You Dropped A Bomb On Me," and "Early In The Morning" are similar, but the Gap Band also did more Parliament-style jams (complete with Charlie Wilson doing a George Clinton-like running commentary) and some excellent ballads. There's a lot more to the Gap Band then just their biggest radio hits.
If you judge them by a few songs, you might as well say the same about a lot of bands.
Duh, I was kidding.
Ok ya cant beat thriller, but how bout these guys... the next obvious chice i think
Next time, add a , dude!
But seriously, You Dropped a Bomb on Me, Burn Rubber on Me, and Early in the Morning do share a lot of the same formula. Which you stated.
Pretty much anything by the Grateful Dead, no?
On those three songs, I absolutely agree.
Just as the Rolling Stones' "Brown Sugar," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," and "Honky Tonk Women" (and probably a few more Stones songs) share a lot of the same formula.
How can they STOP and DANCE at the same time?
Cause when you're dancin' you're not stopped.
