PICK UP NOISE

NOVICE.....HOW DO I GET RID OF THE PICK-UP NOISE (CLICKING SOUND) WHEN MY THUMB SLAPS THE BASS....I KNOW ITS ALWAYS GONNA PICK UP NOISE WHEN MY THUMB SLAPS STRING .....DO I ADJUST MY BASS,TREBLE, MID-RANGE OR TONE CONTROL

Without actually hearing the sound, the first thing that comes to mind with a clicking sound would be pickup height (too close to the strings). And that is something that you will not be able to EQ out totally. When was the last time you set your pickup height?

Additionally, how aggressive are you with your slapping technique? If you change you technique (less aggressive) does the clicking sound diminish or go away completely?

thanks sir.....pick-up is good....its not really clicking its percussive thump from my thumb....how do you EQ IT OUT

Try slapping in the space between the neck pickup and the neck.
What kind of bass do you have by the way?
