Pickguard choice

Hey guys, i just put a pretty solid layaway payment on a used Fender Deluxe Precision in standard black, it comes with a standard white pick guard but im not really a fan of that look because it is so common, so i was looking into replacing it. I was looking into maybe a mirror or bronze mirror replacement but im really open to suggestions and pics are always appreciated.

I just got a black Jag, and I hate the white on black look too... gonna throw on a red tort pg!

I'm thinking of getting a transparent black bass - if I do it, I'm swapping the white pg out for an abalone shell one.

But I personally think anything dark and shiny is a good look with black. Bronze sounds cool and distinctive.

ya thats what i was thinking as far as bronze goes, personally not a fan of red tort but blacks not out of the question

I just assumed it was an American Deluxe.
If it is, I say go with the Abalone to match the inlays.

I used a Sharp Concepts polished aluminum pickguard on a P-bass rebuild. Sorry no pics yet. But on black, the diamond plate would look incredible. Plus the aluminum gives the bass extra shielding.... no grounding issues whatsoever!
