Double Bass Pickup recommendations?

I recently switched over from BG. Was thinking of I should probably pick up a pickup eventually. Any recommendations for a pretty standard, nothing too fancy entry level setup? I don't plan on gigging too much so hopefully something thats not too pricey. Also, I was actually thinking of using my B15 as the amp so hopefully something that complements that?

Farfetched,
Basically, the Realist is nice and warm, unless you have a plywood bass, which it works fine on, but IMHO the Full Circle works better on those instruments. The input impedance of the B-15 is a little low so I'd get a HPF Buffer Pre Amp from Francis Deck,Invalid Link Removed or the Fishman Pro Platinum either will improve the sound into the B-15.
If you wan't a pickup that's easily removable then I'd take a look at the Revolution Solo.

So this is where we each swoop in and put a plug in for the pickup we use. Truth is that no one pickup works the same for everybody. Basses are different, hands are different, and our taste in tone are different.

So, Realist, Full Circle, Bassmax, Underwood, Revolution Solo, Erhlund, Schertler, Shadow, B-Band, Barbera, Wilson...

Point is all these pickups have worked well for someone on this forum.

My 2 cents... I'd get a Bassmax. They are cheap, require minimal installation, and sound ok.

+0.9999 IMO, what the Bassmax provides in terms of convenience it lacks in sound. I'd place it just below "ok." :)

i use an underwood blended with the under foot realist, through a headway 1 preamp which sounds great.

The underwood on its own has great bottom end, but with thin highs, and the realist has more of a lower mid punch to it but is quite woolly on its own, however the 2 together compliment each other nicely and produce a very full smooth sound thats cuts through the mix really well.

OK, in light of the above post, which is absolutely correct: Full Circle mounted "upside down" (threads up). Half-way in tone between a Full Circle with threads down (the more common mounting) and a Realist. Perfect through an fdeck for what I do (small jazz ensemble to full jazz/dance band) with S42 Spiro Weich on a ply CCB with ebony board and shortened mensure to 40 3/4.
