Pickup search help!

I'm looking to replace my J-bass's pickups.

I'm looking for something with a middy crunch.
Active or passive.
A sort of Musicman ish tone. But being able to focus on the neck pickup to get a warm round tone.

Anybody have any experience or recommendations for this kind of pickup?

Have you considered a Seymour Duncan Basslines Quarter Pounder for the Bridge?
They have a strong Midrange and some what rolled off high and low, IME ( Squire P)

My sugestion to just swap one, is because you can probably get a smoother tone from your stock neck pick up, but be able to roll in some very strong mids with an aftermarket bridge pick up.
