pickup wiring help needed!

Hey TB, I have a Lakland 4402 that i'm replacing the pickups on in hopes for a more modern, cutting tone. I installed a Duncan in the MM (bridge) position and now the stock neck jazz pickup doesn't work correctly. It appears that 1/2 of the neck pickup is out of phase with the MM. I've wired it every possible way with no luck. Any suggestions? Will this happen with any split coil in the neck position? I want to put a Delano in there but it's a split coil too. Thanks in advance.

I do believe it will happen with any split neck pickup. Same thing happened with my old bass. I ended up with just a normal jazz pickup in the neck position. Besides rewiring the split coil, im not too sure as to how to fix it.
