the pickguard kinda reminds me of a burns bass...

the tokai neck confuses me though--i thought the SX necks were pretty decent...

refinish it in a different color and make the pickguard all one piece and I'd play it.

I LIKE the colour. The pickguard is cool. The Tokai neck may be there because the tokai neck may be a killer neck.

And the addition of the single-coil in the neck is quite interesting.

I'm imagining that this bass with a pick would be a force to be contended with.

I think its just an SX neck, with the headstock cut to resemble a telebass headstock, and with a tokai logo. (thouhg i could be wrong).

Personally, if I saw that bass in a store I wouldn't touch it, but if thats your thing, more power to you.
