Pics of your homemade cab

Wow some really, really nice work here. Here is a cab and ext cab I built for an old Carvin Guitar amp I converted to a bass amp when I started playing bass last year.

A three 12 vertical to be continued one day!

I hunted down your two original threads on the build. It's a great idea that I've been looking it as well. It's very doable, what you're going for, with the right speakers. The Webers are intriguing, but without specs (like the other 99% of the market) it's a shot in the dark and most guys here avoid them like the plague.

Hope you get some time to finish it up and let us know how it sounds. I'd love to see a full shot, too, to get a sense of the size and proportions.

For me, I'm thinking it'll be a 2x12 + 1x12 modular thing mainly for small-car-packability, but haven't totally ruled out the vertical 3x12. For speakers, I still need to see, but I've got a pair of Deltalites and a couple from Fane to test out.

Dimensions of cab are 46x21x18. Each chamber has about 1.3 cu ft of volume. If transport is an issue, the modular approach is nice. It looks like I will soon be able to finish this project. I'll keep you posted.

To be honest, thinking about applying the Tolex justifies (for me) part of the delay.

A bunch of years ago, I built a pair of these, 1x10 PAS woofer, Foster horn tweeter, SWR inspired crossover.

Essentially 1/2 of an SWR Goliath II Jr.

With a ceramic magnet woofer and a thick steel grill, these little cabinets were insanely heavy by today's standards.

They sounded pretty good, if I recall correctly, but became a victim of me downsizing my gear.

They're out there somewhere in TalkBass land.
