Piezo bridge basses

Sorry I was MIA yesterday and didn’t respond.
I have a Sire V7 fretless which is dead quiet at home, even when I solo either the neck or bridge pickup. I have been trying to use both pickups at church and just eq the active electronics to approximate the tone I want with decent results.

I am interested in what I have seen on the Sire GB5 fretless since it has the 3 band preamp on it, but the uneven string volume experienced by Low End Lobster has me concerned since that bass model does not have the individual string volume adjustment.

Waiting to see more once more people get them in their hands.

I love the fretless for the slower and more melodic songs so the piezo sound is good. I have my fretted bass for the magnetic pickup sound for everything else.

I've 2 ABG with piezzo pickups under the bridge, and both suffer from uneven volume between strings. One of them has 3 screws in order to adjust the pressure repartition, so it's ok.

I don't k'ow if all piezzo pickups have them issue...
Easy fix but takes time so be patient

Take piezo out

sand bottom of saddle flat

use flat head jeweler's screwdriver to scrape out any dirst/saw dust/grime out of bottom of saddle slot in bridge.

re-assemble

voila

back in business.
