Pignose b100v where are you?

Hello talkbass users this is my first post but I've gotten a lot of info from this site! Anyways, I've been looking for an affordable tube bass amp and I read about an interesting company named pignose. I've looked and looked but I cannot find anyone selling a b100v! Do y'all have any ideas where I could find one of these piggies? Any info would be appreciated thanks!

they come up used from time to time, here, ebay, craigslist, and your local hip gear store, also look for the ampeg v4b, because that is what the pignose was inspired by

ok thanks that's what I figured I've just never seen one for sale haha and I'd love a v4b but outta my price range unfortunatly but I know all tube amp will be expensive so maybe I'll just stick to my ss peavy haha thanks again

I have one, they're awesome so seldom sold. An inexpensive tube head is the Bugera 1960 Infinium, works fine for bass although made for guitar. It's a clone of the Marshall Plexi which was also sold as the Marshall Superbass with slightly different EQ tuning. Only "problem" is the tone controls are old-school Fender style which most bass players can't get their heads around. The Bass and Treble are both boost only and the Mid cut only so flat is about 1-10-1 . If you can deal with that they are a great deal - I have one of those too . I paid just over $300 for an open box one, dunno what they sell for these days.

You can also look for 2nd hand Sovtek amps.
Traynor isn't too expensive either.

i've seen the B100V combos go for ~$400 on ebay which is where i found mine.

That's probably the 1960 I returned a couple months ago. Works very well as a Bass head but I just didn't need another head at the time. Would def. Recommend to someone looking for glass bottles on a budget.

Thanks for all the replies yall! I really want a pignose just cause they seem pretty neat and kinda different, but I'll definitely check out the 1960 I've never looked into bugeras, and I really like migs and yba traynors so they are always possibilities but I'm young and don't have a lot to spend haha, wait did sovtek make bass amps also or just guitar?

There was a Pignose 100 in the classifieds here just a few weeks ago at what seemed like a good price. If I hadn't just bought a V4B Reissue I would have been all over it.
