pinging strings !!!!

hey guys im looking for any ideas as to why im getting this "ping" sound when playing towards the bridge , especially when picking and on my A string , cant hear it when im playing finger style but its driving me nuts when playing with my pick
my neck is a bit bent too , will that have anything to do with it or is it time to get new strings ?

help would be much appreciated

Without more/better information, my best guess is that you're getting a harmonic when using a pick near the bridge.

yeah that sounds right , its sustaining for a second two and really putting me off , I wish I could explain it more but im pretty new to the bass world , it kinds=a chimes when I play it with my pick ?
im starting to confuse myself now s understand if im no help hahaaha
