Beautiful gut strings for double bass. Eudoxa are among the best strings on the market. Silver wire over gut, they are excellent for bowing and pizz. Very powerful , easy to play, bright (because of the silver winding). They are quite expensive but they are really worth the money. As all the gut strings, they require some time to adjust to the environment and they require frequent tuning. That's the only negative for gut strings. However the sound has no rivals. I have tried many many strings , but I couldn't find anything like these. I have got a new bass and these strings are too bright for this bass and the music I am currently playing thus I have these spares. If you'd like to try gut strings without spending a fortune this might be a good occasion (selling for approx 50% off the regular price).
