PJ Bass and Pickguard

I'll be building a P bass with an additional J pickup using a Warmoth body. The only thing I haven't figured out is the pickguard. I want the VVT configuration, so I need a P pickguard with 4 control holes (VVT + output) and the holes need to be aligned with a typical P bass control cavity. Warmoth doesn't sell that kind of pickguard. I see a few P pickguard with 4 holes, but because the holes are spread out, it won't work with a Warmoth P body. Is the custom pickguard my only option?

Custom Pickguard is ALWAYS the answer! Got one for my Squire PJ -5. Tort natch. Love it!
I've bought lots of them even for my cheapo SX basses. I think the killer look you can choose makes it worth the cost to me!

(Remember Tort-flats!) :)

I have a four knob setup and a side jack. I ordered a deluxe pic but its not the same body shape as mine. I ordered a four hole plate from WD and I will give that a try. My fall back is just to take a portion of the deluxe and match it into a normal p pic. Wish me luck!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I am a little over my head with the project.

I was thinking about doing what this guys did

I ordered one of these just to see if it will match the contour of the body then I will blend it into a regular Pbass pic guard. I will post pics when I finish.
