Double Bass Places to study in France?

Hi,
I currently have a dream to move to France to do university on bass, mostly due to the fact that it's a completely different culture half way around the worl, but I can still speak French. Just kind of a far fetched thing, but I'm wondering if they're are actually places to get a reputable education and be very well instructed. Thanks

Check out the conservatoire in Paris. The first conservatory and one that has produced or was home to some of the greatest teachers, composers, and performers.

Hi !
There is also a "Conservatoire Supérieur" in Lyon (it's a city in the South-East of the country). The dbass teacher has a very good reputation (he also plays in Orchestre de Paris).

The admission auditions are in september, whereras they take place in february for the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris. But the application deadline are months before.
