Planing a trip to Tokyo,... any music store would you recommend?

Next October i will be in Tokyo for a few days,... it is strictly a pleasure trip and I am looking forward to shop for a fine bass guitar. Since is the largest city in the world, I would appreciate if someone with experience could give some tips on where should i look.

Thanks a lot!

Bass Collection in Shinjuku. It's right across from the train station, and has a crazy selection of top of the line basses. If cheaper and more abundant is more your thing, Ochanomizu has tons of stores packed with stuff.

Check out the Yamaha guitar factory, Billy Sheehan did, and it looks like a awesome place where they make the high end Yamaha basses.

And if you like cameras, look no further than any major camera company in Japan.

As mentioned above Ikebe has a number of shops. For some reason I liked the one in Akihabara - maybe because it's out there on its own down a quiet street. Most of the others are clumped together so it can become overwhelming (kind of an understatement about Tokyo in general).

Also worth checking out is Ishibashi in Shibuya home of the famous U-Box. If I recall correctly the sign outside is in katakana only so have a look at their name and try to memorize it:イシバシ There were some other threads about the same topic that might help too so might be worth a search.
