Played a 6'er for the first time...

And I'm impressed. I've always been a bit apprehensive about extended range basses, (6 or more). The neck seemed uncomfortably wide, the string spacing looked difficult to work around, and does one really need 6 strings. And then came the calling. I was sitting at the GC playing a Ibanez SR 500, when I look up and rest my gaze upon a Ibanez SR 706 (6 string) I pulled it off the rack a little unsure...but alas the same comfortable , familiar Sound Gear neck fit into my hand comfortably, my fingers weaved around the narrow spaced strings just as well as before, but unfortunately I found that one doesn't need 6 strings, 6 strings just simply is NOT enough. Although I walked through the doors that night with a low B and a high C under my belt, I somehow crave for more.
