"Plays like butter"

Ive followed this thread for a few days, I'm kinda surprised this word has generated so much emotion. What's so horrible about saying it plays like "Buttah"?

It's nothing more than a shortened version of saying something is as "smooth as butter"
No different than referring to one's tone as, crunch, growl, etc.
Or saying, man this thing screams/sings.
Or calling something that's heavy, or useless, a boat anchor, paperweight.

I'd bet there isn't a person in this thread, that hasn't been guilty of trying to describe something by using a term that has little or nothing to do with it's literal description.

Man, no offense---But the extent of thought that seems to have been put into this simple word/term, is a bit anal.
Would you guys care for some cheese with you whine? Or maybe some Buttah?

Can someone please photoshop a Ric into her hands?

And then there are the Squires and SXs that (allegedly) play like Sadowskys. Perhaps they could be described "I can't believe it's not buttah!"

:p

Hey, man. Get it right. SX basses play like Fedoras. Squiers plays like Sadowskys. Rogues play like Fenders. All of which are fantastic when melted @ 350 degrees F and poured over some popcorn while watching Spinal Tap and getting a BJ.
