PLEASE HELP CHOOSE BETWEEN THESE TWO HEADS.

I don't need the ash midi features, I just want the one wiht the best tone. I don't need too many watts. Anyways Ashdown has more only it's divided in two (2x250w).
I do't know about Peavey's sound quality as in heads.
i ask as in sound wise.

Play them both and buy the one that sounds better to you.
GREAT IDEA! Thanks, hadn't thought of that.
... I ain't stupid.
I can't try any because I live in crappy Valencia in Spain and over here you don't see any of the two. Both I will be buying over the itnernet or shipped.
I wouldn't be asking for help if I could try them, so please don't call me stupid.

Thing is that of the SUperfly I have heard really good and really bad. Of the Peavey I ain't heard nobody talking about it. I think I'm more of the ashdown side than peavey sound. I hope I'm not wrong. I really need some Ashdown SUperfly owner to tell me how good it is.lol

I never once called you stupid. You never said in your original post how far away the amps were so how was I supposed to know they weren't at your local music store?

There's a huge Ashdown Superfly thread going right now...

What kinda music do you play?

Won't check until later so, I can play punk, dub style, rock, funk, ska, some rap rythms and my peavey is as diverse as all of those styles. I can get equally different, pleasing tone for said styles of music. I know there are better amps out there but nothing beats the price of a peavey. It's the kind of amp that you can pass on to your grandkids, it won't break.

Let's throw a curve ball here; forget either of those and get a Markbass LM II. How much are those over the I.N. in Spain? If it is a bit more money, in the long haul it will be worth it. From what I have read the SF is a PITA with it's teeny controls that sometimes do not respond along with other things that you can read about here on TB. I have never been too fond of most things PV so I can't really recommend that amp. Cheap is good but much better for not much more dinero is better! Hope this helps. :)

I've owned tons of Peavey gear (I've only tried out their newest released gear in a store), and I now own the Ashdown Superfly (and I started that Superfly thread).

I love the Superfly's tone more than the Peavey's I've owned, and the Superfly is so much easier to haul around than Peavey gear. But given Peavey's reputation in durability and the fact that I've always been able to get a good sound from the Peavey gear I've owned, I recommend the Peavey in your case.

The reason being is that while I love my Superfly, it does have some issues from some who have owned one. It also does seem to do best and have the least issues when it is used with two 4 ohm cabs.

If you don't already own two 4 ohm cabs, and you can only buy online and live outside the U.S., get the Peavey. Peavey's new TOUR gear is some great stuff.
