Please help, I need a single string, LaBella White Nylon .050

For my High C tuning I need a single string, LaBella White Nylon .050. (I am using their 760T set in .060-.115).

I was able to locate a single .043 Golden Nylon, but it sounds thin and lifeless. Anybody has an incomplete set, perhaps?

I guess, around $10 plus letter postage is reasonable?

Thanks in advance.

Did you check the LaBella site?

I looked all over for a single DTF E string a few weeks ago to no avail - then I went to their site.
The price for a single string was super reasonable. A set of strings were the same price as everyone else so I ordered a set.
Had to pay a little shipping, but it was the price for a single string plus the shipping charge is less than what I would have expected to pay for just a single...

You'll have to look yourself to see if they have your single, and if you can't find one, try emailing them. Their customer service is great.

I wrote to LaBella, no response. And they don't have single strings for sale, at least not that I found.
You can try a couple of my usual online dealers.

Strings By Mail... Email Matt at [email protected] and tell him what you need.
Fret Nation... Email Jason at [email protected] and tell him what you need.

When I need singles and custom sets, I always go through one of the above two. Good luck.

Using the 050 (product number 761T), which is the G string from the light-gauge 750T set, as a high C means it will be significantly high-tension.
One thing you could do is get the 750T-B set (light-gauge 5-string), use the G as a C as planned, and the rest of the set on another bass, tuned to D, Db, C or B standard, for the occasional downtuning needs.

This seems awfully wasteful, I don't really have a need for such low tunings.

I know they use a 043 in their 6 string set for the high C, but it seems lifeless. In the videos too, the .043 high C sounds like a guitar string rather than bass. I was concerned about tension, but even more concerned about the fullness of tone and a clear fundamental.

I mean, mathematically it seems if EADG is 115-85-70-60 then the next fourth up should be about 50.
