TBers, I've been having a severe case of GAS over these past few weeks. I'm considering to "move away" from Fender J basses and decide to try another brand for once. There are 4 basses that I've been considering on getting: Sadowsky M5-24, a Mike Lull M4V with Fralin PUs & J-Retrofit Preamp, a Sadowsky MV5, or an Atelier Z 5.
I've been having a hard time to choose one of them because I have played all those basses and I kinda like all of them equally. I prefer something with 24 frets and 5 strings which seems to make an M5-24 becomes the obvious winner, but there's something about its tone that doesn't click with me somehow.
I'm looking for suggestions which one of those basses is the best bassfor metal with a tort pickguard because it's the most versatile among them, as I play pretty much everything ranging from Jazz to Punk to Metal.
As for the tone that I'm trying to achieve, I really like Geddy's tone, Jaco's tone, and Myung's tone in Image and Words (in which IIRC he used Spector basses) and Falling Into Infinity, so maybe something like this:

Recently I'm also digging the tone of Bryan Beller in Aristocrat albums, for example:
Maybe it's impossible to get the perfect bass that is truly that versatile as I described, but I'm fine if it's only great in one genre but only OK in others. I'm definitely open for suggestions, I'm living outside US though so some of the basses that you are going to suggest might not be available in my country. (The only other options beside those basses above and which are within my budget are Rays and Sterlings)
