I’ve been playing bass for about 10 years now, mostly at home, with the occasional jam session or gig here and there. All this time I’ve been playing out of a Fender Rumble 350 combo. It’s been a fine amp, but I recently decided to step up my game and got a Markbass Little Mark 800 with the tube preamp.
The problem I’m having is being able to practice at home silently with it. With the Fender, it had a RCA input in the front that I ran into my pc and then I plugged the headphones into the headphone jack. Easy peasy.
The guy at GC told me I could do the same thing with the Little Mark by running a headphone amp through the line out on the back of the head. I did that, and it works, but it’s making the clip indicator light go crazy. That can’t be good. I don’t want to ruin my amp.
Is there something I’m doing wrong? Is there another maybe better way I can accomplish this? Thanks in advance for any help. It is most greatly appreciated.
