Ok I'll bite, because I hate it when no-one comments my songs.

Well, the production is quite good, nice bassline in the verse, too.
The overal playing quite good, but the music doesn't really "strikes" me, if you know what I mean. I've heard it all before if you know what I mean.

Otoh, I'm pretty sure there is an audience for this kind of rock music.

    Thanks anyways...
and i think i got what you meant ...you mean like there is nothing new in the song...its like any other ordinary song.

Exactly, it's quite good production and playing wise, but it's kinda "been done" you know

  7. its true...its a good recording, everything sounds good, and you guys really do sound similar to your namesake, which isn't bad, its just (like varago said) that there is nothing that sticks out as excellent...otherwise, everything else sounds professional...i could expect to hear this on the radio...

Hey DARK...didnt quite understand what you meant by 'pretty dated style wise.'
Got your point...probably our next few songs will be better...working on them.
Hope we can convince some local radio station here to play our song...don't think so...radio station in bombay or not really pro rock

It sounds like the bass is latent...I felt like I was listening to a song from the 80's :meh:

Wow, yes, the production is awesome. The different sounds coming from my surround sound speakers is fun. But, yes, the music itself is not my taste--it is 80s rock, for sure.

    Bass is good though, melodic.

it reminds me of driving through pennsylvania at night listening to the radio in 1991....listening to tesla, or other rock bands of the time.
keep working on it, you'll outgrow your influences and develop into your own.
    cheers

Hmm thanks...although D.A.R.K's comments made us really happy..think we should get over that.Probably get our own sound.

@martyman5000-you meant that as a bad thing?

Change Penn to Boston and I'm with Dark. Talent is there, just keep at it. It's really quite good.

cool stuff; definite 80's rock feel to it.

I think if you want to develop your own sound, you need to started changing things up. Every song on there sounds kind of the same...a slow guitar riff intro followed by the rest of the band.

    Vocals are real good :)

I liked them both. They both sound fun - that's important!

I really liked that classic bass tone. Good playing, as well. Care to comment on your bass recording chain?

Well done. Thanks for sharing it.

Oh thanks...well i found this post and saw that i had not read some of the comments.
Well since the first 2 tracks i posted at the beginning of the thread...we recorded a 7 track cd.4 of which are on the myspace link i just gave above.
Well the band is defunct now coz the bass player(that is me) decided to come to US for further studies.

I didnt use much of a bass rig.Its mostly just to DI box.If you heard the first 2 songs from the start of the thread...then yeah this is what i used. For songs from the myspace,if i remember correctly i used a line6 podxt live ...and thats a guitar one, used it just for the compression.Oh yeah and i used a samick bass which i got so cheap...if converted to dollars..it was 100$ :p...and i love that bass...and no its not bad...as you can hear in the recording.

Thanks for the comments.Yeah we were hugely influenced by pearl jam, creed the likes...the vocalist also is suited for those kinda songs. And if we had made more albums probably we could have explored more styles.we just got stuck into a formula of slow guitar..bass joins..drums and vocals join in...lesson learnt

Which DI did you use? I'm considering a good DI at the moment!

    Thanks.
