Please recommend an amp

I'd like a general purpose club amp, tending less to slap and more to fingerstyle.
I used to have a Markbass little mark and a 212 Bergantino rig and loved it (although now I prefer 410). Are Markbass amps well thought of these days? Are berg cabs liked?
For reference, I plugged into mesa and eden amps and wanted to sell my gear and take up a new hobby. I hate modern tone. I am also bored by SWR, Trace and GK.

Aguilar (never heard one)?
Ashdown?
Others?
I'm a guitar player who plays bass, which means I leave the virtuoso stuff to guitar and play for the song on bass. I LOVE playing bass. Ya'll are the shizz.

I am a recent guitar convert and simply love my [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. It can do modern, as it has two punchy 10s and a titanium horn loaded tweeter, but it also does vintage very well and I have no intent or desire to go meedly-meedly high up on the G string. It also can dig out the deepest bass fundamentals as freq. response is rated down to 35 Hz, lower than their 4x10s though not as loud. Should be fine for clubbing. I use a G&L ASAT bass with it with G&L's fat, full humbuckers and TI Flats, and it can sound enormous down low in a small venue. It has several tone-shaping controls that enable you to dial in pretty much any sound with any bass in any room.

The later model EN210 (both are still available) seems to have the same features but is cheaper.

I know, I know...everybody recommends what they have...so take this with a grain of salt.

But I am very happy with the Markbass stuff...I have the Markbass CMD 121H combo and a Traveller 121 extension cab for larger gigs.

Turn down the highs or use the VLE control and I get a vintage sound. Use the VPE control and I get a modern rock sound also good for slapping.

The two peices together (Combo and cab) weigh about 70 pounds total with an output of 500W at 4 Ohms.

Not all Mesa amps are sizzly modern sounding machines. You must have plugged into an MPulse 600, or maybe a newer Carbine. The Walkabout has a tubey old school vibe, but with a meaty mid range punch. Paired with a Scout cab, or 2, it's a compact yet powerful little rocking rig.

I'm going to go way out on a limb here and recommend a CARVIN B1500 pushing a stack of a 2x12 and 2x10 Avatar cabs from the "My rig can't get out of its own way thread; what should I do?" Ask everybody and then went way for about a week.
