Plungers

My fist works better. Just hate when it splashed in my beard.
awesomest thing I've read on tb ever.

I have an ex who lived in a 1950's vacation cottage with very small pipes. I thought it was gross as hell that she threw her tp in the garbage can, but one day the basement floods and she screams "did you flush tp?!". It took a few weeks to adjust to that.

@Super_Freak that bidet hose looks like a huge mess in the making. My diet has me thinking that it's probably a great idea though.
-Is there a, uh, throttle button on the sprayer? If so, probably can't just buy at home depot?
-do you spray from the front back, back forward, or just up?

I have one similar to this, just goes under your seat with a control knob. Sometimes you have to shift around to make sure you get everywhere.

Yes, you can buy ones at Lowe's, Home Depot, or Bed, Bath, & Beyond.

They're actually just like the ones you have attached to the kitchen sink.

If you've got enough water pressure, you can give yourself an enema, LOL.

I think the direction you approach from is a personal thing, and it just depends on how agile you are with which arm.

Toilets that flush well : Kohler , Gerber , some American standards , Toto (very expensive.) There are probably others but none that I am personally familiar with.
Toilets that flush meh : Sterling , Crain , most off brands that you can get at Home Depot or Lowes. I'm sure there are others in this category too but I don't personally deal with off brands.
There used to be a company called Universal Rundle. They came out with the first good flushing , low water usage toilets. That's because they changed the shape inside to a slightly oblong pipe as the water ran through the toilet. They patented it and for several years they were the only low consumption toilets that flushed well. A lot of other companies started selling their toilets really cheap and outsold universals because of that. Universal eventually went out of business because of this and the patent was freed up so other companies could start using it.
The proper way to use a plunger is to push down slowly and then pull up quickly. Without knowing when to stop pulling up you risk a turd in the face. It's an acquired skill. If you are not willing to acquire this skill , I recommend continuing to push down quickly as the difference is usually marginal at best.
Sometimes being a plumber leaves one with knowledge they would rather not have.:bag:
P.S. You don't even want to know what Coca Cola does to cast iron pipes.
