Pod to PC connection

I just want to record myself practicing because I always come up with some nice riffs and forget them next time i play haha.

I was wondering if I could use a MIDI to USB cable to hook up my Bass POD (one that looks like a bean) to my computer. I'm not really sure how this works, but if its possible, what drivers would i need for the POD to be recognized? What else would i need? I have Audacity for recording. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

You wouldn't want the midi out if you are recording audio. You would take the line outs of the pod and convert them to a 1/8' jack and plug that in to your computer soundcard. Check out the recording forum here or at homerecording.com. It will depend a lot of what kind of hardware you are using onboard your pc.
