Gotta say all the haiku got me thinking about a form I largely discounted. One thought was when my Grandfather was going to teach me his language he started me off practising an alphabet of syllables. Without taking anything away from all the Anglophones in the art, I suspect haiku might really pop in its mother tongue. But talk is cheap. Hmmm...
