Poll: 4s, 5s or 6s (or more?)

I’m equally comfortable on 5s and 4s. Right now I only own 1 5-string, the rest are 4-strings. Which bass I play depends on the material we are covering. If there is a lot of transposing expected it will always be the 5-string.

These are the main players. I have a couple more but these get the majority of the play time.

I've got a small collection at this point, thankfully. They're all tuned differently.

I've got a 4+3 string fretted + fretless, 8-string octave paired, 6-string, an two 4's that have been converted to 5's. One goes higher and the other is tuned like a cello from F1-A3.

The idea, aside from the cello-guitar, is homogenous tone with different.. characteristics/quirks/specialties and tunings where appropriate.

Planning on getting more ASAP! What instruments exactly is a secret until after each is in my hands.

4 or 5. Maybe i need a 6. All my guitars are 6.
