I have a bunch of twos and a seven, I guess. Works for me. I like having some toys to entertain myself with and widen my bass playing experience, as long as I have a decent electric to gig on.

My Marcus is no Sadowsky, I gather, but my abilities/talents have certainly not yet outgrown it.

Having my other cheaper basses around is nice-- a few vintage Ibanezes, a cheaply bought headless fretless fiver vor variety, and an SX to take apart and play with worry free.

And I need not worry about any of the basses, even the Marcus, out on gigs-- none is heartbreakingly valuable or irreplaceable.
