depends also if you are buying the neck or making it, if you are paying for someone to finish/paint it etc

i would say about $600 for a decent one with good pickups, wood, bridge n pegs.

the one i made cost a bomb - swamp ash core, quilted maple front, EMG pickups, Hipshot A Bridge, gotoh pegs, padouk n rosewood necks - in total - £1150, not including strings, they cost £62. In dollars works out at - $2255!

as everyone else is saying - tools are most expensive, i was lucky enough to have most of the tools anyway, and got to use my schools lasercutter

making all my templates - pickup cavities (bjazz, njazz, musicman), neck pockets, control panel, (i didnt have enough money to by them from stew-mac, mine cost5pence each)and i engraved the control panel with my logo and info and will be engraving my logo onto my pickups, and on the truss rod cover
