I'm building a cab based on Page 5

If I choose to use a [DEL]slot[/DEL] SQUARE port instead of a round port, can I just use the same volume, or is there a different formula I need.

Per the site:
--Vents--
No. of Vents = 1
Vent shape = round
Vent ends = one flush
Dv = 4 in
Lv = 3.308 in

So I would make a square 4" x 4" x 2.625" port to achieve the same volume. Kosher?

You will find a slot port will be quite a bit shorter than a conventional round or square port.
The sides and bottom effectively make the port longer than the physical length.

Maybe I mis-spoke, but I thought a slot port = square port. Same question
