porting svt 410he

I know this sounds odd. But has anyone ported or even recommends porting a svt 410he? I have one and I would like to get a lot more low end from it with out it "farting". Any thoughts?

Bad idea. Cab design is a collection of compromises which arrives at a result. You want to change one factor to get a "better" result. That means some other factor gets out of kilter and you won't get the expected result.

In this case the power handling will drop through the floor and you would get more farting rather than less.

You could try a HPF like a Thumpinator or HPF-Pre to get more useful lows and low mids without damaging your speakers.

Drivers ment for sealed cabs generally don't fair well in ported enclosures.

Without knowing driver's parameters it's complete crapshoot. Sell the thing and buy the ported one if you need more lows.

+1 to no "porting", that would just wreck the cab.

maybe you're in the market for the SVT-410HLF, which has massively more low end.

Or, check out the new SVT212AV. Exact same demensions as the 410HE and it's ported.
