Edit: l just realized those are your photos of different bands.
Though it needed nothing, that Lake Placid Blue / matching headstock paint job suckered me right in, and I've not owned a 4-string bass since 1990. Always admired that look in the 60's originals. I bought this Squier James Johnston Signature Jazz Bass with an eye to customizing it a bit, easy with Fender's long established parts range.
I have found that I can't wear my bass low.
My gut is in the way, I can't reach it down there
