Actually if I had to get anything Boss (not saying they're bad) I would get that wah. It's the V-wah right? That actually gets some really awesome sounds. I have a Dunlop Crybaby Bass Wah but I really do think the V-wah is better after trying it out. It doesn't have the tone suck the Dunlop does either.

Yeah, its the V-wah. Only Wah Boss make, AFAIK.

it keeps the low end quite well, for what it is. I particularly like the rotarty (uni-v) sound, good when combined with the chorus capabilities of the ps-3. I comes with a cool little synth-type sound as a preset, which is fun to play around with. I couldn't really use it in a band situation, but its fun none-the-less.

It was the first pedal I ever bought (wow, its old). The on-board distortion/overdrive/fuzz/what-have-you are far from the best, but my position doesn't call for that sort of thing anyway. They were fun to experiment with, but I guess it saved me money by showing me I didnt really need distortion etc as a staple. I reccomend it to everyone I know.

There's nothing wrong with owning lots of BOSS pedals (cos most of mine are BOSS )
I'm envying your PS-3 very much ... I'm still looking for one
Anyway ... what do you think about the PS-3? Pros and cons if you don't mind me asking

MXR Six Band EQ
MXR Carbon Copy
Marshall footswitch is used for control over 2 additional effects on the GT-6B
Epiphone footswitch is used to control the distortion on my GK

Anyways, just kidding. I really only use the GT-6B, 1 EB VP Jr, and the 2 footswitches. The other stuff I just stuck in the pic cuz I thought it was funny. You might notice that nothing has power (unless I really wanted to use that many 9v batteries) and the signal chain makes no sense. The chorus isn't plugged in to anything! The Carbon Copy is a cool pedal, though.

I'm thinking about a similar setup with a GT-10B once my local store gets one in stock (it's got my name on it). What do the addition footswitches do for you and how easy are they to incorporate into the GT-6B? You don't use the looper at all?

Just jumping in here about the PS-3. I got lucky and traded a #1 Echo for a beat up PS-3 about 2 months ago. So far, honestly, I have not found one useable thing on it in a band setting. I think once I have an expression pedal, I'll be able to fully utilize the pedal. It's great for making crazy sounds on your own though. Really strange stuff comes out of that box. One day, maybe I'll find a way to use it in a band.

Settings 1-3 are just a straight forward delay. If you can't get much out of that, then delay in general may not be your cup of tea. The other settings are definately pretty out there

I love the 105Q but keep mine beside my PT Jr as it takes up a fair bit of space. You may want to turn the Sans Amp unit sideways to free up some space. We have similar taste in pedals!

HOW WELL DO THE HARMONIES ON THE PS-5 TRACK ON BASS?

Never tried it. I can definitely give it a whirl for you. I can also tell you that on the guitar, keeping the harmony level below the instrument level (about 75% quieter, though that's a rough guesstimate) makes for a much more convincing and realistic sound.

Keep in mind, I did not buy the PS-5 for it's harmony capabilities. Mainly to use it for weird whammy sounds (I prefer it to the Digitech)

Aww... the Mistress is leaving.

I'd recommend moving your TU-2 to a place after the wah - it'll allow for a tidier board. You might need a longer patch cable, though. Maybe a custom cable kit?

I know this might not represent the mutual feeling of the PS-3 here, but:

Pros:

• Delay that matches the old DD-5, more than the DD-3
• Very capable chorus sounds with the DETUNE+FEEDBACK and the DETUNE+DETUNE modes.
• Great control over Harmonies. (You can select any 24 chromatic steps over a +/- 1 octave range plus 2-octave up-down)
• Blend knob, IMO, is very neat and useful in different situations.
• Tracks bass exceedingly well.
• Shifting (a-la Whammy) is very customizable. You can choose whatever range you want, as opposed to the Digitechs where they are set.

Cons:

• Harmonies and Shifts sound metallic and digital (unavoidable)
• lack of presets make changing a little difficult. I don't mind this, but there are some that might.
• Getting the right steps in Harmonies and shifts is kinda difficult. I get around this by either placing my tuner after the pedal, or using my RC-2 to loop the pitch i need.

Overall, I really like it. The delay is great, just like a DD pedal. the detunes and harmonies are really good, If the moment/song calls for it. I dont use it olden rock or stuff that doesnt call for it. We use mode 7 (inverse shift) in the intro for one song. It can create a cool helicopter type sound when you crank the feed back and set the shift to 1-2 steps up.

I still recommend that people who are interested in the Digitech Whammy at least try the PS-3

I have a Toadworks round-a-bout on order, but have to wait for them to arrive in the country. That should fit nicely into that little space!

It's a Boss GT-6B bass effects processor. I've had mine for 9 or so months now and I've already figured out what effects I like using, so I'm actually considering switching to single effects (though it'll most likely be in the far distant future).

Yep! thats what i have done! I recently sold my GT-6B because i found the effects that i really wanted through using it.

Here is my pedal board atm. Just got my agent funk in 3 days ago and its a funky ball of boobies!
Also my Big Muff should be coming this week so that will replace my behringer. And as you can see i want a tuner pedal, becuase its annoying unplugging my bass into my tuner at a gig.
