power amp question(PA)...

I'm going to "paste" some specs on here so you can see them and see if I'm thinking right...probably not. I don't particular have this power amp in mind but I thought I'd use it as an example. If anyone is familiar with it though I'll take some input.
Peavey CS 3000 Power Amplifier Specifications:

It says 1500W per channel, 2x2 ohms. Does that mean it will run 2 separate channels at 2 ohms each? For instance 4 8ohm FOH and 4 8ohm monitors or 2 4ohm FOH and 4 8ohm monitors. I'm just asking because I'm not sure.
Right now I'm using a Yamaha EMX512 powered mixer and running 2 8ohm FOH and 2 8ohm monitors for vocals only.

yeah, it means it will run a 2Ω load on each side.

it will draw a lot of power doing so, though; you've basically got the amp working at its maximum.

Okay...thanks. I guess a person would be better off running 2 amps...one for the FOH and one for the monitors.
I'm not sure how but I think I can run a power amp along with my Yamaha powered mixer.
Seems like a guy told me he uses a powered mixer to run 4 monitors and a separate power amp to run 4 FOH....not sure of that either.

Yes, most powered mixers allow you to also run power amps off them. At one gig I needed to run 3 monitors off my Yamaha mixer so I used a power amp for the monitors. Worked great.

Bro even if it does use 2ohm a side i wouldnt, run it at 4ohms a side which will put out 1025w a side its heaps i think.
