Power amp to go with a modeller

I'm using an EV ZLX-12P top with an EV ZXA-1 sub for years with my modeler for bass and for guitar.
Really cool has you can feel the bass even if you don't play loud, because of the sub.

IMO it's important to setup your sound on a PA setup if you don't want to have surprise going direct to FOH on your next gig. As you play bass, I would look for powered PA speakers with DSP. IME they translate the bass guitar sound better without blowing anything. I can bring my EV top at my friend's drummer house and it's more compact than a bass combo. And sometime I don't bother the modeler and just slip an Ampeg SCR-DI in the gig bag and nothing else, using the tuner app in my iPhone.

As other said, a powered PA speakers can be used for many other purposes too. It's very convenient.
