Power Supply Preferences?

I've realized that I don't have any power supplies to offer for the growing number of pedals that I'm now selling online. I need to change that.

My first instinct is to start with TrueTone and their 1Spot wall wart plus all the doodad accessories (especially the one that doubles the 9VDC to 18VDC for Genzler pedals). We used to sell a ton of 1Spots locally back in the day. I don't see why I couldn't make those go online?

That said - I haven't looked into purchasing power supplies for a long time, so I thought I'd throw a feeler to see if any of you guys have a brand you love? Let me know!

And we don't need to limit this discussion to wall warts. The larger multi-outlet power supplies for pedal boards are also on my mind. TrueTone offers those, as well, but there are plenty of other companies out there who do that sort of thing. Voodoo Labs, etc.

I only use multi-outlet ones. I originally had a strymon, but recently picked up one of the Voodoo Labs board+power supply bundle and I love it! I got the Dingbat Small-ex board with the Power 3 supply.

If you are also looking to carry boards, VooDoo Labs may be a good option for you since you can mix and match boards and power supplies.

I've used a TrueTone CS6 for a few years now and it works great. I like the footprint of this supply. Makes it easy to mount under a flat board.

That's my choice. A litte pricey but worth it IMO.

I like Cioks because they're slender and the mount is really smart. I also like that they are expandable with a single plug.

I've been using a Cioks supply on my pedal board years now, and I love it. I've used Voodoo Labs in the past, also a great supply. I'll have to look into picking up those guys, as well!

I also use the Truetone CS6. Truetone makes the one-spot, which is kind of the gold standard for wall wart power supplies in my mind, so buying the same brand for my pedalboard power supply made sense to me. I've had it for a few years with absolutely zero trouble. Rock solid, even came with mounting brackets and templates for my Pedaltrain board.

3 feelers emails sent out on Friday, and so far only CIOKS has responded. And that was just to redirect me to their US distributor. LOL That's how it goes some days; hurry up and wait.

In the meantime, Jim Bergantino has sent me a pair of power supplies that he sells for his new Super Pre pedal. If you scroll down to the bottom of that listing, you'll see a power supply entry in the "You may also like" section. I don't have a good photo of the power supply, so I just used a Bergantino logo for now. That is the very same power supply that Jim chose to ship with the Super Pre when folks pay the extra $20 for a power supply, so it's as legit as it gets.

I still need a solution for the Magellan pre/DI pedal. Hopefully one or more of those three power supply manufacturers gets back to me soon.

One seemingly to avoid is the LiveWire UXS multi-voltage power supply. I bought one at Guitar Center to use with my newly acquired Genzler Magellan Pre/DI pedal. I wanted a power supply capable of 12 volts. There are multiple tips, including one labeled 2.1 mm x 5.5 mm sleeve (standard Boss power supply), which is what the Mag-Pre calls for. I couldn't get it to fit. I couldn't get any of the tips to fit my Peterson Strobo-Flip tuner either.
