Ok... I know that a Pedal Power supply is not the most glamorous thing on your pedal board but it is an essential part of our rigs. I recently picked up a Cioks Super Power Bundle (1 DC7 with 1 C8E) and I have to say it is AMAZING. I have been using it now for about 2 weeks and I hear a definite improvement in my pedals. What are you using for Pedal Power and why did you go with that one?

I didn't know much about power supplies when I got mine. I just knew the original one I had when I first put a board together was cheap and awful and caused noise and I needed something dependable. I got a Walrus Aetos and it has served me pretty well. Between the Aetos, buffer in my Strobostomp, and getting power from a Furman power conditioner, I never have noise issues. The Walrus is handy in that it has a standard plug in on it. I have that for any real high mA draw pedals and then two 300 mA draw slots I can use. That has been enough for the most part. I've thought about getting one with more options, but it works well so no point changing.

For me, the DC-7 was a buy once/cry once investment. Some of my pedals are power hungry and I have never regretted that purchase, which has accommodated multiple board iterations without the need to "rethink" (=buy another/new) power supply.

I am finding that out too, No they are not a cheap power supply but having a strong feeling that I may NEVER have to buy another one is pretty awesome, I love having the option to go to 12-15-18 v on those pedals that take higher voltage's. Personally I have found that most pedals that CAN go to a hight V seem to sound better there .

Main Board: DC-7 with 4 expander.
Experimental Board: DC-7
Nano: Cioks Adam.

I can't abide any power supply that is fed by a wall wart. These tend to get in the way on gigs and I want a sturdy cable going from the outlet to my board.
I've been using Cioks products exclusively for a while now, these never cause problems and simply work.

Those do look super cool. Id put it on top of my board instead of under it lol
Why? That’s a waste of space. For me, I hate having the added power cables on top.. it may not be a huge issue, but I like to keep them away from the audio lines, plus less rat’s nest. It it was savvy on their part that they sized up the likelihood of it going with some kind of Pedaltrain product(not necessarily that you have one, of course)and designed accordingly. I ditched my Voodoo Labs early on, and I may be getting rid of my early Cioks units, because the 7 is layed out so well, especially with the outs on both ends, let alone the fact that it’s snug under the Metro series, which is what I’ve been gravitating to. It’s to your advantage if you swap out or move things around as well.
