Hey guys,

Anyone have a decent circuit diagram for a good 18V switch mode power supply. I need 18volts of the supply rail for my future mutron III and my wireless stuffs, then i'll use a power regulator to regulate the 18V down to 9V.

Have you looked at the Voodoo Labs power supply? I think that can do 18v by bridging a couple of the 9v channels.

Making a switch mode power supply is not a trivial task - I suggest you consider just buying one as they are relatively cheap. Or, you could make a linear power supply instead but this requires a larger transformer.

You could try building a charge pump that will take 9V and bump it up to 18V.

I've seen a handful of threads started by you lately regarding some rather involved circuits. There's this power supply, the onboard tube preamp, the multi-path effects router...

Are you really working on all of this stuff? Just curious, it's all pretty darn ambitious!

Yeah, the true bypass effect chain editor thread went cold pretty quickly when I pointed out the practicalities of such a beast.

No harm in seeking new ideas, bassbloke, but a bit of humility goes a long way.

Haha thanks mate, yeah i am working on all of them, just very slowly, because I've got school and i've been sick lately. But eventually i should have all up and running. The onboard preamp is a pretty straightforward circuit, and i'm only building the body. I just need to get my hands on the wood.
