I voted for the Ampeg BA-112, it's reasonably light and has very decent bottom and tone. I like the kickback feature too. I keep one of these in my home office/studio and it has worked out very well. I use it in any situation where I don't need my V4-BH with an SVT-15E cab which I much prefer but is much heavier.

If you can find one on the used market, the discontinued Ampeg B50R is worth a look. It has a warmer, fuller sound to my ear than the two Ampegs on your list. 50 watts, around 50pounds, 12" speaker in a sealed box.

I'll also second the Yorkville 50 watt. Nice little amp, around 25 pounds, good sound, and the older models can be picked up ridiculously cheap on the used market. I had one before I picked up my B50R.

+1 on the B50r-- I've got one and it doubles quite well on URB and electric. I also got it for $195 and the plastic was still on the control panel.

did I forget to mention AMPEG????

I am so lucky to have a BA110 (good luck finding one now) if I didn't have that I'd have to get a BA112.

By the way, I also now have a BA115HPT.

Holy s#%@! you either love the Ampeg sound or you hate it.

It makes me sooooo happy.

By the way, there's something to say for the reliability factor. I was just talking to a local authorized Ampeg service technician (Burlington,Vt)- he confessed that he rarely sees their equipment come in.

Enjoy,
Bill
