Practice Unplugged

Twice monthly I go to the middle of nowhere. I cannot take my amps.(guitar and bass). So I practice unplugged. That's no big deal. The problem is that each week, for a summer camp thing, I have 2-3 songs to learn. When I go, it is a whole week surrounding that one day. I have no Internet, so I can't look up tabs, or even listen to the songs. I cannot negotiate when I go. How do I practice around this?

Is this a Band Camp? Are you getting the songs at camp? Please elaborate. Are you in a band and want to use your down-time to learn? Can't someone give you a list of songs so you can download ahead of time and learn from that? Do I have anymore pointless questions?

Okay, but I thought if you could afford an iphone and the service with internet that goes along with it you could afford a few downloads. You could always download the youtube videos of songs and view them offline. I'm anti-Apple, so I don't know about their tech. But considering I'm always hearing "there's an app for that," perhaps there is.

Helter, I don't understand what you are saying.

X8, I just bought a new bass. It's only 1.30 per song but it adds up. There are other priorities. Honestly, I'm not old enough to work, my dad got me the phone. If I could work, I would. And when I can, in a few months, a permit doesn't get me to work without the parents. I do buy all my gear though. Money is going to a decent bass amp, not mp3s that I won't use in 4 months. But I'll figure it out.
