Prayers for Adrian Garcia

Halftooth said:
Any new news?
I hope he's okay!

Hey All ,

as of yesterday Adrian was still in the hospital awaiting a liver biopsy. This is where the take a small sample of tissue for tests. He seems to be okay other than the fact that they are keeping him until they can do the test. I should hear from him today I hope in regards to how he is doing. he was hoping to be home this weekend.

Keep those prayers coming and hope for the best.

Pete

you guys are too AWESOME!!!! truly a brotherhood. I thank all of you for your good wishes.
here's the deal..
Monday morning, i woke up with a pretty bad pain in my stomach. I waited to see if it would go away. I did a gig that evening and was pretty much miserable. Many thought it was my appendix, but it was kinda high, under my lower rib, right side. I decided it was time to go to the clinic. There i had some X rays and such. It felt like i got hit with a baseball bat or something. They could not make out what it was so they sent me to the hospital. Once i was admitted, i had a CAT scan and an ultrasound. All they could see was a small ( less than 3 cm ) kind of mass by my liver. The next two days were spent in limbo, awaiting tests- (no food, only an I.V ) gradually , the pain has subsided a bit.
This morning, i had aninteresting experience, a tube down my throat, i remeber little of it, thank GOD.So much so that i forget what the procedure is called ( calling Dr Naugher? ) This afternoon, i had an MRI - the big noisy machine. It was also very interesting. They asked if i wanted to listen to music while it was done, i said sure, some jazz wold be great :) - they did not have any Jaco, but i got Ramsey Lewis. Fair enough. They also had a biopsy scheduled, but after the Dr viewed the results of the MRI, he cancelled the biopsy, so no needle in my liver, yay!
I am taking that as a good sign. Bottom line, i feel pretty good, DARN hungry, and i await my primary Dr's rounds this evening to get a better picture of what's going on. I don't want to sing the Victory song too soon, so we will see. If i don't go home tomorrow, I am losing a small fortune since this happened to be a killer weekend gigwise. But i understand health is foremost. I will keep you brothers informed.
Hopefully , I will be back in the battlefield soon. Cool thing my roommate brought my laptop!
I WANT TO THANK YOU GUYS DEEPLY.
and may I add, I have NEVER felt closer to GOD and my saviour Jesus Christ. He has been with me all the way, keeping me peaceful. I HAVE to witness to this, because without Him, for me, nothing is possible.
Thanks to Pete Skjold for starting this thread. Love ya, bro.
You guys take care, be with you soon, I hope- Adrian
