I’ve got a nice surprise - will post some pics when I get home from work later this evening.

Here we go. All original, 1963 P Bass with purchase receipt from Chicago and original case candy. Came with original bridge cover and foam too. Bass has not been played since the early 70’s was a basement find by the kids of a later father. I’m honored to have it. Perfect straight neck and it plays absolutely perfectly- no buzz. Coolest bass I’ve ever played!

Mark at Bass Club Chicago - he new has a connection to the family who’s father originally owned the bass. I got lucky

Thanks! Yea the case and everything about it is immaculate- I seriously lucked out on this one. Mark at Bass Club Chicago is the real deal. This was my second purchase from him. Super excited

They are replicas, not original '63 basses. It's impossible to make a new '63 bass. The collectibility factor isn't important to all, but it is a factor in the value of an instrument.

Custom Shop and Masterbuilt Fenders are awesome - I’ve owned both, still have a Jason Smith MB. They are phenomenal, but they do not compete with the feel and tone of this particular ‘63 P Bass.
